For B2B companies with limited budget, the Google Ads vs. Meta Ads decision matters a lot more than it does for ecommerce brands running both simultaneously.

Google Ads captures existing intent — people actively searching for a solution like yours. It tends to convert faster but can be expensive in competitive categories.

Meta Ads is better at building awareness and nurturing prospects who don't yet know they need you, but usually requires a longer nurture sequence before converting to a sales conversation.

Our general rule: if your sales cycle is short and search volume for your category is meaningful, start with Google Ads. If you're creating a new category or your buyers aren't actively searching yet, Meta's targeting and creative flexibility often wins.

Most mature B2B marketing programs eventually run both, but sequencing your first campaigns correctly saves months of wasted spend.
